Hitting a baseball is absolutely reactive to what a pitcher
throws, and when you're in the batter's box you must react to the ball in a
fraction of a second to constantly do extremely well. Utilizing this skill
requires intense practice that trains you to "hit the ball wherever it's
pitched". Hitting aids does the
same thing. It improves bat speed, timing and mechanics, improves hand-eye
coordination, balance and pitches recognition, promotes the development of a
short, compact swing.
